August 20, 2021
Dear Valued Customers,
As you are aware, on the 18th of August, New Zealand was placed under an Alert Level 4 Covid Status. The lockdown so far will remain in place for seven days for Auckland and Coromandel and three days for the remainder of the country. We have been through this before, and we can work together again. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
Transport Operators can deliver vehicles from the Ports in lockdown while following the strict contactless delivery rules. We will need to confirm that you can accept delivery to either your Compliance Centers or Yards as previously arranged. However, if this is not possible, vehicles will need to be sent to storage and redelivered at a later date when possible. Any additional costs incurred will need to be on charged accordingly. We may also request your assistance if required when we need to confirm that delivery is possible to you once the trucks are leaving the ports.
There are still large volumes arriving – we will keep you updated if we experience any delays or changes in arrivals schedules. The BMSB Mandatory Heat Treatment Period for Used Vehicles from Japan into New Zealand will recommence from 1st of September through to May. The first applicable vessel will be Dream Angel V22 which is loading at the end of August – the current ETA for Auckland is mid-September.
Please, contact us if you wish to discuss anything further.
Kind regards,
Dolphin Shipping NZ
